At MawMaw’s Chicken Pies, our story begins in a small North Carolina kitchen filled with warmth, laughter, and the smell of a pie baking in the oven. Maw Maw, an avid cook, loves throwing ingredients together to make something truly special. For years, she created top-shelf country-style chicken pies for her family — hearty, homemade, and full of Southern flavor.
One day, while enjoying a slice of that delicious pie, her son said, “MawMaw, you ought to make these pies and sell them. You could call it Maw Maw’s Chicken Pies!” That defining moment changed everything.
You see, MawMaw doesn’t just love to cook — she loves to feed people and help people. When her granddaughter Whitney needed a little extra income, MawMaw offered to teach her the secret to her now-famous chicken pies. Together, they began baking pies right in MawMaw’s country kitchen, selling them to locals who couldn’t stop talking about how amazing they were.
Word spread quickly, and orders started pouring in from everywhere. Before long, the demand outgrew the family kitchen. After a year of nonstop baking, MawMaw turned to her old beauty shop — the same place where she worked as a hair stylist for 30 years — and transformed it into a cozy mini pie manufacturing station.

Today, MawMaw and Whitney still work side by side, crafting pies that are 100% homemade from start to finish. Every crust is hand-rolled, every chicken breast is hand-shredded, and every bite is packed with authentic Southern comfort.
